At home, it was time for a bit of a refresh—a sort of spring cleaning in the summer. As I was sorting through my things, I stumbled upon an old notebook. I wish I could say it was filled with ancient secrets or forgotten mysteries, but it was actually a notebook I had written in almost nine years ago.
It was packed with content: ideas, notes from books and classes, random thoughts, and more. But one thing really caught my eye—a detailed outline for a book I had planned. I was surprised to find it and, honestly, quite proud of my younger self. There are pages and pages outlining an idea I had all those years ago.
What’s so special about this idea? Well, I had the exact same idea earlier this year, thinking it was a new one. What’s even more interesting is how differently I’ve approached it now compared to nearly a decade ago.
So, I guess it’s time to get cracking on that book! I’ve got ideas from almost a decade ago and fresh insights from this year. It feels like the perfect moment to bring it all together.
How about you? If you’ve got old notebooks, journals, or even just random notes lying around, take a moment to revisit them. You might be surprised at the ideas and inspiration waiting to be rediscovered. Sometimes, our past selves have more to offer our present selves than we realize!
